Cotto vs Foreman

After a devastating loss against Pound for Pound king Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto is set to campaign in the higher weight division. His debut is a championship fight against 154 king (Junior Middleweight) Yuri Foreman on June 5 at the Yankee Stadium.

The fight is going to be televised in a regular HBO boxing show on the afforementioned date. Top Rank disclosed that they are expecting some 30,000 fight fans to witness the fight live at the venue.

Both fighters are coming from a contrasting fate from fights with different opponents in the date. Cotto was knocked out by Manny Pacquiao and lost his Welterweight crown while Yuri Foreman wrested the Junior Middleweight belt from Daniel Santos via a unanimous decision. The said fights happened in the same date as the Foreman-Santos encounter was an undercard in the Cotto-Pacquiao fight.
